Short trip to Teluk Intan

Chinese New Year was very quiet this year. I had a long long holiday without much activities in the hometown. When Dearie came to Ipoh for visit, we went Teluk Intan with Pa & Ma for a few hours short trip. It is a really small town and the only place we visited was the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. Here are some shots from the short short trip.

How do I spend Christmas for year 2009?

Ma suggested why not they came to KL during christmas as she can on leave on that week. So, why not? It has been long we never celebrated christmas together. We were at bro's place over the weekend.. Bought pa&ma christmas gifts.. pa got Famous amos cookies and ma got cookbook from me.

That was pa's xmas gift but never mind lah.. take photo only mah.. Hehehe..

In the evening, we went to Andrew's place for BBQ dinner.

Spent lots of time at MPH.. as usual, ma loves reading cookbooks..

And the last day of their stay before sending them to the train station, went to the Curve to go Daiso.. As I know they will like shops like Daiso..

It has been long not going back to Ipoh.. kinda miss there a little.

Will wait till CNY only go back.. bought train ticket already.. for just in case, no tickets if last minute.. can't wait to be home..

New Paris Restaurant @ SS2, Petaling Jaya (2nd Visit)

On Christmas Eve, I blogged about New Paris Restaurant (Click Here) where we went to have a dinner to celebrate brother's xxth birthday.. and now I'm blogging about my second visit there. Hehehe..

Pa&Ma were in town so we brought them to New Paris for dinner. This time we ordered another signature dish that almost a lot of tables have this.. We didn't know what is the name of the dish, we just called it the one that got watermelon. Immediately, the caipton said it's 'Heong Pan Kai' which means Champagne Chicken. Oh ya.. Did I mention that they serve the dishes very fast? Hehehe.. we waited for only 8-10 mins only for the first dish to reach the table.

Daisou also ordered double boiled chicken soup. That makes a total of RM 132 for 6 adults and 1 kid (including drinks) Not too expensive right? Highly recommended for families that want to have a simple dinner together.

There are always birthday event to celebrate a friend's or a colleague's birthday but sometimes we had forgotten to have a birthday celebration with our dearest family members. For instance, my dearest Brother. Ever since bro pursued his studies in Ipoh we had not lived together.. I think the most length of stay together would be max up to 10 days? And that would be during Chinese New Year. I really can't remember when was the last time I celebrate my brother's birthday together. Perhaps, 10-15 years ago when we were still living under one roof ? I really can't recall it .. Sis-in-law suggested that we had a dinner together and of course.. why not? We went to New Paris Restaurant at SS2 for a simple dinner.

This is how little nephew looks like on the entire evening. Huge headphones but without music! And when I asked what he was listening to... he answered me NOTHING ! Cute isn't it ?

The chilli dip that came to the table. Tasted sweet and sour with lots of shallots. It does not taste spicy at all.. Probably, nowadays the chillies are not so spicy ler..

Dylan likes eating rice with soup. So, ordered Lotus Root Soup with Pork and Peanuts.

And he said that is his sportscar !!! Oh yeah, sportscar with Dearie pushing him leh..
