Trip to Bangkok - Day 4 (Erawan Shrine+Shopping)

Day 4 - Erawan Shrine / Siam Paragon / MBK / Platinum Fashion Mall / GayShow at Suriwong Road

As usual, we met up at 9.30am at the lobby after our breakfast & shower & of course getting ready for the day. Erawan Shrine was the last temple we visited as according to our itinerary. Erawan Shrine was about 8-10 minutes walk (depending on your walking speed) from our hotel. All along the way, there were many stalls and it was quite nice as we can keep ourselves entertained by looking at what people sell.. Clothes, food, earrings, drinks, etc. And after the temple visit, it was all shopping shopping and shopping !!!!!

The Central World behind us .. That's the mall that we went for Naraya..

The girl in the Sony advertisement looks like Myolie Wu right? Or is she really her? Continue walking, we reached LV boutique at the Gaysorn shopping mall..
It is located opposite of Erawan Shrine, the Four-Faced Buddha..
Erawan Shrine is really beautiful.
It looks like people really take good care of it. Very shiny and clean...
Dearie burning the incenses getting ready for prayers.. After Jess, HieMee and Dearie had made done their prayers to the Four-Faced Buddha, we walked to Siam Paragon.. Goossshhh.. so near but yet so far.. It looks near but we were all sweating for walking another 15 mintues... Reaching the entrance, we saw the Ronald Mc Donald with his Sawadekaa look again.. Thus, we took photos again loh !! We saw this at the lower floor of the food court.
The Mermaid's Bed at Siam Ocean World..After taking a few shots, we were done and almost leaving. This sting ray mascot came out and caught our attention.. If I am not mistaken, this is a Jellyfish? On the way to look for the pedestrian bridge, saw these elephants on the rack..
I think this is a pretty nice shot, isn't it?
Before leaving Siam Paragon, of course have to take photo again lah... Even though we were just passing by, on the way to MBK, at least, we were there right.. FYI, Siam Paragon, Siam Center and Siam Discovery buildings are connected. So, on the way to MBK, we have to walk through these 3 buildngs first..to another bridge connected to MBK.. In Siam Center, they have Big Apple Donuts too but thy call it Bapple. And Vincci too!!! Yee Feng said the price are more expensive than in KL..Saw these cute little seats for people to rest after a long walk.. (I mean for us ^_^)Finally, we reached MBK. Shopping Shopping and Shopping!!After that to The Platinum Fashion Mall .. Look at Dearie, he was holding my eco-bag for my goodies!! and look at my hand!! The girls wanted to go KhaoSan Road for braids. But I didn't want to go.. so I skipped KhaoSan Road. I guess it is just a long street selling t-shirts..street food..etc etc. Dearie & I went back to the hotel for some rest after a long day shopping.

For dinner we bought this !!! BEST chicken skewers ... it's satay lookalike. very very yummy!!
When can we eat this again, Dearie? Fried drumstick that tasted very yummy too.. Miss this so much!!!
Went for gayshow at Suriwong Road. Dearie didn't follow us to the gayshow as he doesn't want to see gay's live F**king show. When we reached the place, many guys came and pulled our hands leading to their bar.. but we already knew which bar we wanted to go as it was recommended by Jess's friend. It was 250 Baht for the drinks. You don't need to pay anything like cover charge.. Just the drinks.. We were 30 mins early and the show only starts at 10.30pm so we sat there looking at the guys on the stage with their underwear only. And when the show begun, it was rather entertaining. A great experience.. LOL (^_^)

As usual, for those who are tired can walk back to hotel first.

The taxi driver dropped us off at Central World. His service was 1300 Baht for that day to drive us to the attractions that we wanted to go. Because he was very kind, therefore we gave him 100 Baht as his tips. He went down from his taxi van and helped to open the door us.. and said good-bye very nice of him..

In Central World, the first thing was to look for the washroom.. and the washroom looked so sweet with these cute signs on the door..
Lovely,isn't it?
The famous Naraya shop in Central World. Bought many bags here..
When Dearie & I had done shopping in Naraya, Yee Feng & Joan were still in the shop.. This very china deco nearby Naraya..
Forever 21 We were looking Mc Donald as we wanted to try the Pork Burger.
This big fries at the entrance of McDonald..
Even though we were very full with the seafood dinner in Chinatown, we forced ourselves to have a set of McDonald meal. Indeed, there were still some empty spaces in our stomach.. HEhehe..
Samurai Pork Burger that tastes very porky!!! Yummy...
Dearie having his bites on the yummy pork burger.
Not to forget to take a photo with Ronald McDonald ...
Dearie refused to do the Sawadeeka look..
When on the way back to the hotel, Dearie & I passed by Naraya again and saw Yee Feng & Joan baru walked out from the shop... Goossshhhh... they spent so much time choosing the bags eh !! Really geng oh.. ^_^

Trip to Bangkok - Day 3 (Wat Pho, Vimanmek Mansion, Chinatown)

After the Grand Palace, we visited Wat Pho. It is somewhere near the Grand Palace but would be a little far for walking distance. The taxi driver dropped us at the entrance at Wat Pho and asked us to wait him at the exit 'behind' after we were done visiting this place.

Wat Pho or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. It is famed for its huge and majestic reclining Buddha measured 46 metres long and covered in gold leaf. Mother of Pearl
There was a table with donation box that you can donate some money and you may take a bowl of coins and later put the coins into these huge bowls.
Dearie made a donation. Hence, he took the bowl of coins and put into these huge bowls. I don't know why is this done for.. probably for good luck?
After visiting Wat Pho, it rained heavily and we actually waited at the wrong exit where the taxi driver was at another exit !!! We stood there for quite long until the rain had almost stopped. Finally the taxi driver found us and we hopped into the van quickly. He drove us to Khaosan Road and because it was raining we were unable to walk along the street. Thus, he brought us for lunch. And after lunch, we went to Vimanmek Mansion where our tickets were free when we bought the Grand Palace tickets.
'
Vimanmek Mansion. Cameras are not allowed in the place so we only took a few photos at the garden.
Reaching Chinatown, we were excited to take some photos at the street. Really very Chinatown feel right.. (^_^) Many weird street food along the street..
These cables are really messy!!
The Public Phone booth in Chinatown is so cute!!
Another different type of BBQ bananas..
Sausages..
T & K Seafood, Chinatown
We had coconut drinks again..
Steam squid with lemon juice
Fish.. that i forgot the name of this dish
Prawn that i forgot the name of this dish too... Fried egg with oysters.. must eat with the chilli provided ya.. Fried rice with crab meat
After dinner, we had bird nest as our desserts.. This bowl of bird nest costs 200 Baht. Didn't dare to try the lowest grade which is 100 Baht..
Bird nest with dried longan that costs 300 Baht
Can you see the longan? Hehe..
We ordered without longan so, no longan loh..
