Trip to Bangkok - Day 3 (Wat Pho, Vimanmek Mansion, Chinatown)

After the Grand Palace, we visited Wat Pho. It is somewhere near the Grand Palace but would be a little far for walking distance. The taxi driver dropped us at the entrance at Wat Pho and asked us to wait him at the exit 'behind' after we were done visiting this place.

Wat Pho or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. It is famed for its huge and majestic reclining Buddha measured 46 metres long and covered in gold leaf. Mother of Pearl
There was a table with donation box that you can donate some money and you may take a bowl of coins and later put the coins into these huge bowls.
Dearie made a donation. Hence, he took the bowl of coins and put into these huge bowls. I don't know why is this done for.. probably for good luck?
After visiting Wat Pho, it rained heavily and we actually waited at the wrong exit where the taxi driver was at another exit !!! We stood there for quite long until the rain had almost stopped. Finally the taxi driver found us and we hopped into the van quickly. He drove us to Khaosan Road and because it was raining we were unable to walk along the street. Thus, he brought us for lunch. And after lunch, we went to Vimanmek Mansion where our tickets were free when we bought the Grand Palace tickets.
